The Vision Statement stipulates that the Tanzania Catholic Secretariat is to be “A pastorally-driven organ of the Catholic Bishops of Tanzania that lives Catholic values and demands professional competence in her work”.
The Misson Statement directs that the Tanzania Catholic Secretariat is to work as “An instrument of the bishops for facilitation, coordination, promotion and provision of pastoral and social services through collaboration with people of good will for the evangelization of all”
The TEC Secretariat is guided, informed and motivated in tis commitments by the following values: –
Guided by Catholic doctrines of faith and morals, based on faith in Jesus Christ, we are committed to witness our Catholic belief through our daily duties in the Secretariat.
As Catholics will always serve with faithfulness and honesty in the vineyard of the Lord and ensure that all human beings receive equal respect and justice. (1 Peter 4:1-11).
We share the call from Jesus that He came to serve, not to be served.
We share information through regular reflection meetings at different levels at the Secretariat.
Employment and staff retention will take cognizance of competencies, knowledge, skills, attitude, professional qualification and potential employees capable of rendering services in accordance with their respective places of work.
In provision of services to different stakeholders we will endeavor to uphold care, concern, mercy of Christ and Pastoral Charity.
We will relate with all stakeholders openly and responsibly without compromising the principle of stewardship, subsidiarity and confidentiality while ensuring compliance to canonical and legal requirements and contractual obligations.
Our Services will adhere to morals and doctrines of the Catholic Church wile promoting human dignity and the glory of God.
